Castro Street Remodel

This existing apartment had loads of Art Deco details and charm, but was in need of a modern refresh for more convenient living and hosting.

With the goal of honoring the Art Deco character of the spaces while also creating a more comfortable home, this project proposes to reconfigure the large existing bedroom into a den and primary bedroom that can easily be connected or separated via large pocketing doors that disappear behind the custom metal cabinetry and lush planted green wall. An enlarged primary bathroom and newly created powder room lean into 1920’s glamour with a modern eye, and a new luxurious butler’s pantry in the living room blends with the existing kitchen and dining room and will help the clients to play host at their frequent gatherings and celebrations.
